Would you like the opportunity to take on a part time role within the Engagement Team at The Union, Manchester Met?

Are you passionate about working within an inclusive, empowering and aspirational culture? Are you a Are you a current student, looking for regular part-time work to fit around your studies during the 2019/20 academic year? 

You’ll help provide operational support to the Campaigns & Engagement Coordinator in delivering aspects of the Union’s Engagement Plan for the academic year 2019/20

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your professional skills whilst positively shaping the campaigning experience of students at MMU.

Operating independently from Manchester Metropolitan University, our aim is to support and represent each one of our student members. Each year our growing team of over 70 full time and up to 150 part time staff, work alongside elected student leaders to make change, improve lives and help fulfil student potential.

What’s the job? 
Working within our Engagement Team: Working within our Engagement Team: 
-    You’ll deliver face-to-face student engagement on campus across a range of issues and activities. Including staffing information stalls, conducting short surveys and raising awareness of particular issues
-    You’ll also monitor, evaluate and report on events contained within the Engagement Plan and;
-    Be able to direct students to appropriate services within the Union and the University.
 

What are we looking for?

+    A current MMU student you will have a good knowledge of issues affecting students in higher education
+    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
+    Enthusiastic about Campaigning and making change 
+    Be approachable, enthusiastic and confident when talking to students
+    Independent and self-reliant and able to work without close supervision
+    Available to work during the week including on Wednesday afternoons.
