So, you’ve had a look at your exam timetable, started your revision* and exams are just around the corner. What next?

Avoid a last minute panic; take a look at these five things you can do in advance to make sure you’re confident and prepared.

1. Find out where and when your exams are being held. You can get this info on your Moodle account. Write it down so you’ll have one less thing to remember.

2. Double-check what you’re allowed to take into the exam and make sure you have all the equipment you need with you on the day. Don’t forget to take pens and pencils, bottled water and your Student ID card.

3. On the day of your exam, make sure you arrive in plenty of time. Check the seating plan outside the exam room, which will tell you where you need to sit.

4. If you need extra time in exams due to a disability, speak to the University’s Disability Service well in advance. If you’ve had an accident or injury, contact your Programme Leader of Head of Department to see what support can be offered.

5. If there’s anything affecting your performance in an exam (like illness or bereavement), it’s very important you submit an Exceptional Factors form. If you need any support with this, or any other issue, then our Advice Centre is here to help.
