Thinking of joining a club or society?

We asked this lovely lot at our Fresher's Fair "What's the best thing about your society or club?" You can see their answers below! With over 100 different groups, there's probably something for you.

You can see the full list here.

A society is a chance to get involved in something you feel passionate about, and a chance to connect with others who share that passion.

From hobbies to academic groups, faith, campaigning, politics and culture there is an impressive range of societies to choose from — all set up and run by students.

Playing sport and keeping active is an important part of life at MMU  —  whether you want to try something new or you’re an athlete who aspires to compete at the highest levels.

The Union has over 60 sports clubs for you to try out and join, again all run by students, so you’ll also enjoy an incredible sense of community, pride and friendship.

There are opportunities galore, often open to all levels and abilities. If you have a competitive streak, many clubs compete in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) leagues.

Can't see anything that takes your fancy? You can start a club or start a society

Visit the Opportunities Office on the first floor of The Union to have a chat to a member of staff if you have any queries.
