Kiosk Fundraising Volunteers

Details Hide[-]

Age UK Manchester (formerly Age Concern Manchester) is an independent charity working with and for older people across Manchester.

Voluntary work is a very rewarding and humbling experience. Many volunteers tell us that they feel very satisfied in the knowledge of making a positive impact upon the lives of others. Many also tell of their experiences gathered during their time with us, describing them as valuable and helpful on their own life paths.

The chance to learn new skills or use existing abilities presents a new lease of life to many that other opportunities do not provide; paired with this is the scope for developing new friendships in a friendly and relaxed environment as well as regular access to free training and workshops either in conjunction with Age UK Manchester or other groups.

The F3 Not For Profit Programme

Volunteer at the Etihad Stadium; the home of Manchester City Football Club and help us raise vital funds to support our work!

Age UK Manchester is part of the Fabulous Fan Fayre (F3) ‘Not For Profit Programme’ at Manchester City Football Club; that works with local not for profit organisations and their volunteers to deliver catering services to football fans and event goers at the Etihad Stadium, East Manchester as part of a unique fundraising activity.

Volunteers run a booth, dispensing food and drink (soft and alcoholic) before and during an event – where a percentage of the profits generated by volunteers is paid directly to Age UK Manchester.

All fundraising supports the continuation of support services and activities for older people in Manchester; as well as the development of new provision through the potential to raise “unlimited” funds.

An induction and training is provided to all volunteers - no catering experience is necessary.

We are especially keen to hear from people who can support us at the following football fixtures:

Manchester City Vs Chelsea - Sunday 4th March 2018; 4:00 pm Kick-off

Manchester City Vs Brighton and Hove Albion - Sunday 18th March 2018; 4:00 pm Kick-off

Mancheser City Vs Manchester United - Satuday 7th April 2018; Kick-off TBC

Manchester City Vs Swansea City - Saturday 21st April 2018; Kick-off TBC

Manchester City Vs Huddersfield Town - Saturday 5th May 2018; Kick-off TBC

Volunteering Shifts start approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes prior to the quoted kick-off times.
