Welcome Week is a week packed with fun events, activities and opportunities to meet new friends. All designed to help you settle into University. It takes place at the beginning of the academic year so keep an eye on the events page for more info.

From movie nights to walking tours, yoga sessions to assault courses, and day trips to night events - you name it, we've got it. Welcome is for everyone so have a look at what’s on and pop along for some fun.

Manchester Met student or not, everyone is welcome to join us. Some events require a ticket, and some have limited space so they will detail if the activity is only open to Manchester Met students.

There's no official wristband for any of The Union's or Manchester Met's Welcome events. Other venues may offer wristband deals for their own events but be wary of scammers.

We've got loads of different events during Welcome Week that are suitable for everyone, including trips and sessions that don't include alcohol. We offer events like craft making, museum trips, walking tours of the city and day trips as well as non-alcoholic drink options at all of our events.
