What is The Union?

The Union is an independent charity that supports every student at Manchester Met to succeed in all aspects of their life at university.

Discover The Union

  • Every student at Manchester Met is automatically a member of  The Union.
  • Representation for students at the highest levels by a team elected by them, for them. 
  • More than academic success, we’re there through every aspect of students’ university life.
  • Led by an elected officer team to make sure students’ voices are heard. 
  • We empower students to make positive change in their uni life, home life and local communities.
  • Every £1 spent goes back to students and the services they rely on.

We make sure students' voices are heard across the University and wherever else it matters. This includes at the highest levels of management through our elected Student Officers, or through our Course Reps.

We have a team of brilliant, hardworking, and talented people supporting our Officers to make sure students get the best possible experience out of their membership.
