We sat down with the lovely Andy to find out a bit more about him...

(and discovered he really really loves rugby.)

How would your friends describe you?

“Confident, loud, funny and they’re my mates, so they would probably say annoying – let’s be honest!”

You’re having a dinner party and can invite anyone you like. Who would you want there?

“That’s a really good question. I’d probably say Martin Offiah, who is a rugby league player. He was one of the first black rugby league players, and he was a winger, so he played in my position as well. He was an absolutely amazing player. I’d want to pick his brains, and his nickname was ‘Chariots of Fire’, as well – a really cool guy.”

What is your ultimate pet peeve?

“Negative people. You only get one life – be positive!”

What do you get up to outside of uni?

“Rugby – lots and lots of rugby. And just going out with my mates too. We like going anywhere there’s a good crack. I enjoy coaching – I coach young children too. I studied Primary Studies so it ties in with that.”

What are you must looking forward to this year?

“I am most looking forward to working with my lovely sports teams and societies. I can’t wait to keep working with them. The committees this year are awesome, we had 70 people turn up to committee training and they’re all wonderful – I can’t wait to work with them!”
