The Student Officer Elections 2020 have now closed with a turnout of 3,273 voters.

At a sparkling ceremony on Thursday 5 March, five successful candidates were announced in front of a live audience of students and Union staff.

The winners for Student Officer Elections 2020 are:

President: Evelyn Sweeney

Education Officer: Bran Catron

Societies and Development Officer: Savannah Middleton

Sport Officer: Fabienne Robertson-Barnett

Wellbeing Officer: America Fabiana Pardo-Gomez

The event featured an incredible performance from MMU Cheerleading and celebrated the fantastic efforts of all the candidates who stood in this year’s election.

Outgoing Officers were celebrated for all their hard work and achievements throughout their time in post.

The elected Officers will start their role at the beginning of July 2020, for the duration of a year. They will represent the voice of the students at Manchester Met, and set the direction and goals of The Union for the year.
