Course Reps

Union Update :

We’re still here to support you with whatever you need, but some services might be a little different to usual. See the latest info before planning your visit.

Course Reps are students who volunteer to represent other students. They are a bridge between the University and The Union, and make sure the standard of education remains high.

If you're a Course Rep, click below to give us your feedback so that we can be sure we’re talking to the University about the right things. Everything you tell us supports us in representing you and every other student at Manchester Met.

You need to register through with the form below, so you can receive important information from us and get your certificate at the end of the year – it only takes a few minutes. Once you've registered, please let your programme leader or supervisor know that you're a Course Rep. Once staff at the University know, they will invite you to committee meetings.

Faculty Organisers

Arts & Humanities - Kirsty Appleton

Get in touch via crs-art-humanities@mmu.ac.uk

“Hi I’m Kirsty Appleton and I’m the Faculty Organiser for Arts and Humanities. I’ve been a Faculty Organiser with the Union since November 2020 but before that I worked for the Union’s Advice Centre and Front of House Team as a receptionist. I love all things arty. I did my undergraduate degree at MMU in Art History and graduated in 2019. At the moment I’m finishing up my Masters in Contemporary Curating here too. I’m really passionate about helping students get the most out of their University experience and I am always happy to help with any questions or issues you might have.”

Business & Law - Greta Doig

Get in touch via crs-business-law@mmu.ac.uk

“Hi, I’m Greta, the Faculty Organiser for Business and Law. I graduated from MMU in 2019, where I studied Law, and I’m really happy to now be working at The Union! For Business and Law students, I’m the first point of contact for anything Course Rep related and I’m also here to help with setting up academic societies. If you’ve got any questions or ideas, send me an email. Happy Course Rep-ing!”

Science & Engineering - Ashleigh Kent

Get in touch via crs-science-engineering@mmu.ac.uk

“Hi, I’m Ashleigh, I’m here to support Course Reps and academic societies within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. If you ever need any help accessing student feedback for the faculty, help attending Townhall or SSLC meetings, or assistance in making a new academic society, please contact me! A bit about me: I graduated from MMU in 2019 with a BA in Fine Art and Art History and have been studying for an MA in Contemporary Curating since. Whilst completing my undergraduate degree, I had lots of involvement with The Union through MMU Taekwondo and Sports Council.”

Education - Ellie Davis

Get in touch via crs-education@mmu.ac.uk

“Hi everyone! Nice to meet you. I’m Ellie and I am the Faculty Organiser at The Union for the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Health, Psychology and Social Care. I am a recent graduate from MMU, having completed my Psychology undergraduate degree from the HPSC Faculty in 2020. Student voice is something that is so pivotal to our experience at University. I want to help promote and strengthen the student voice as much as possible. In my role, I hope to bridge the gap between The Union and the University, to ensure that everyone is aware of the support, resources and activities that are available to them. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me!”
