Jiu-Jitsu us a traditional Japanese martial art that provides development for many forms of confidence and self-development.
In this session we will be exploring:
+ Confidence in exercise and working with other people
+ Confidence in decision making and problem solving
+ Confidence under pressure
The MMU Jiu-Jitsu club Instructor will work with the group to practice:
+ Different warm up and cool down exercises to safely prepare yourself for exercise
+ Basic measures for trying to avoid or de-escalate a confrontational situation
+ Partner and group scenarios to develop problem solving skills and showing how techniques demonstrated can be applied to different scenarios
+ Practicing with pressure situations such as dealing with time pressures or pressures of presentation
