From the presenter:

In Westminster, we’re one year into a Labour government, looking at huge changes to immigration policy, renters’ rights and a Post-16 Strategy which will re-shape tertiary education and reverberate across the UK. We’ve got hugely consequential elections in Wales and Scotland, and we’ve got changes to the fabric of higher education in Northern Ireland.

Across the UK, we’ve got students highly engaged in the world around them, who’ve grown up in an age of consecutive once in a lifetime crises and want to work through their unions to tackle the great challenges of their generations.

In this plenary, we’ll discuss how we can build a powerful and influential student movement that turns this energy into positive change, with Vic Langer, Logistics Director, Greenpeace, Nabeela Mowlana, parliamentary staffer and local councillor, Sarah Kerton, MDXSU CEO and Richard Brooks, Director of Media for a major polling company. Chair, Mems Ayinla, Director of Student Influence, Sheffield SU.
