Why did we use empathy to drive our rebrand?

What you need to know:

- Location: The Union, Studio 2

- Date: Thursday 20 June 2024

- Time: 11:30 - 12:10

- Presenter(s): Matt Gilford, Hallam Students' Union

From the presenter:

Hallam Students’ Union is one of the country's worst-ranked SUs.

In 2020, we closed our bar and nightclub due to lack of use – it didn’t help our position.

Sheffield Hallam University is a post-’92 university with a large international and South Yorkshire population – it’s diverse, to say the least.

In 2023 we launched a rebrand which is spearheading a plan to reimagine what the SU delivers. The rebrand places the student at the organisation's centre and uses data-driven insight to provide what they need.

We’ve started to see good results – come and hear what we’ve been doing.
