The start of a new academic year is just around the corner, and it's such an exciting time. We want to make sure you’ve got everything you need to enjoy it to the fullest.
That means being aware of fake wristbands, events with huge lineups that get cancelled just hours before they start, or group chats used for phishing and pressuring you into buying dodgy tickets.
We ask you to take extra precautions when booking events and purchasing wristbands. These scams often look legit and may even use the Man Met or Union logo — but if they’re not shared via our official channels, they’re not official.
You can purchase your MMU Freshers Week wristbands through our official SU channels. Not only will the events actually happen, but they’re also the most fun in Manchester and the best way to make new friends at Man Met. Just saying...
