As 2023 comes to a close, we’ve had a look back at some of our (and yours) greatest achievements here at The Union.

We’re so proud of what we’ve achieved over the last year, but more importantly we’re proud of the students who we do this for, and who help us along the way.

🎃 72 pumpkins carved this Halloween

🎟️ 45+ Welcome events hosted by The Union

💫 4,000 students attended Culture Fest - which included over 14 different nationalities

🎤 51 events hosted in our Main Hall

🍺 3,552 pints sold - in just semester 1 alone!

⭐️ 30+ new societies created

🛍️ 36 stalls in our Reception - cheers for the free tote Adobe!

🧠 800+ Course Reps have been trained by our Voice & Opportunities team

💰 £121,021 saved for students by our Advice Centre - through correcting Student Finance errors, appealing verdict

📢 80+ Induction talks given to new students

🗳️ 7,310 voters in the Student Officer Elections - a record turnout

💸 £8,476.69 raised by societies to donate to charities – special shoutout to Isoc for raising £7,688

📚 1,382 academic cases supported by our Advice team - including extension requests, appeals and complaints

✨193 volunteers applied for roles this academic year

📖 35 meetings with the University have been attended by your International Project Coordinator

🏠 3,184 academic, financial and housing issues supported by our Advice Centre – and that’s just since September!
