It's that time again - nominations for this year's Union Awards are now open. Get yours in.
We want to know how you're really feeling right now.
A few weeks ago, we asked Manchester Met students what you miss most about uni, what you're grateful for and what you're most looking forward to.
We made your answers into a poem, written by you. Thank you all for sharing with us.
I miss seeing everyone busy on campus,
My friends, even my lecturers.
I miss 2 O’Clock pub trips with my coursemates,
Going straight from a seminar to the beer garden.
I miss Wednesday nights at The Union,
Getting drunk and smiling on the toilet - happy.
I miss the caramel latte from the business school,
I miss the southern fried chicken burger,
I miss my cheese savoury meal deal,
I miss starbucks.
I’m grateful for my family,
My health,
My health and my family.
I’m grateful for facetime,
For technology,
For animal crossing.
I’m grateful for some time to myself,
For netflix and skincare routines.
I’m grateful for the student nurses who’ve started their careers in a pandemic.
I’m grateful for being alive,
Being safe.
I’m looking forward to going back to uni,
To see manchester again.
I’m excited to live with my housemates next year.
I’m looking forward to graduation,
Graduation!
My teacher training,
My next step.
I’m looking forward to having my first barbecue after lockdown,
Going to the pub with my pals and hugging them.
I’m looking forward to getting stuck in The Union’s revolving door again.
I’m looking forward to appreciating everything,
So much more.
