Awareness months often end up centring the education of the majority - but how often do we centre the care and wellbeing of the communities we’re meant to be celebrating? Facilitated by queer practictioners from Rainbow Mind in Salford, this session flips the focus back to LGBTQIA+ people, prioritising rest, reflection and connection.
Join us for a reflective and practical online session focused on wellbeing, resilience, and navigating challenging spaces as LGBTQIA+ people. Together, we’ll explore mindfulness and grounding techniques, the impact of minority stress on wellbeing, and how misinformation spreads on social media — including how to fact-check and find credible sources.
We’ll also talk about looking after yourself when engaging with difficult or hostile conversations, self-care for activists, and use the Resilience Wheel as a practical tool you can take away and use beyond the session.
A supportive space to pause, reflect, and build skills for compassionate action, for yourself and your community.
