Taking care of and growing plants is a great way to connect to nature, unwind, and discover what makes plants thrive. Learn the basics of plant care and take home a free easy-care plant in this relaxed interactive workshop.

In this workshop, you’ll have the chance to hear from Alex at Potty Mcr, a champion for the benefits of plants, and get your hands on an easy-care plant of your own. It is a great opportunity to share your passion for plants, chat with other students who love houseplants, or discover a brand‑new hobby.

The workshop is designed with total beginners in mind, so no experience is needed. If you’re already a plant enthusiast, you’re just as welcome to come along to share your knowledge and meet other plant people.

Potty is a Manchester‑based business specialising in workshops and plant exchanges that help people explore and enjoy the world of houseplants. You can find them on Instagram here.

Potty is proudly LGBTQ+ owned, and Alex is excited to share their journey with you, explaining how they’ve turned their passion for plants, creativity, and wellbeing into a thriving business. Join Alex this February to celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month 2026!
