Nothing beats a hearty full English to recover from a hangover, right? How about being entertained by a fabulous string quartet in the afternoon too.

You're all invited to join the guys at  The Sal for an afternoon of string quartet entertainment from 15:00 onwards, right after you've enjoyed your freshly cooked breakfast (served from 12:00 onwards).

There'll now be no afternoon tea event at  The Sal on this day. The string quartet are still playing and you're more than welcome to come down, grab a pint, grab some food from The Sal's regular menu and enjoy the music. 

What you need to know:

- Location: The Salutation Pub

- Date: 24 September 2023

- Time: 12:00 noon start

- Reserve a slot for free.  A free ticket is to secure your space only. Any food and drink will have to be purchased at the set prices. Breakfasts are priced at £7 regular / £11 large. £8 veggie regular / £11 veggie large.

- After the breakfast has been served from 12:00, The Sal will switch back to it's normal menu from 15:00 onwards, the bar will be open, and entertainment will be in full swing

 

🕺Who can come?

Anyone who’s booked a ticket to this event is welcome, Manchester Met student or not. Bring your mates along or fly solo and make some new friends whilst you’re here.

 

🎪 What’s The Sal like?

The Sal is our on-campus pub and is one of Manchester’s most historic. A relaxing space with vintage and homely décor, it even has a secret beer garden. This event will take place in the main pub space on the ground floor, but there’s also another floor you can book for events and socials.

 

🎤 What type of atmosphere should I expect?

Expect a nice, friendly environment with soothing live music for you to relax and recover from the night before!

 

🍕 Will there be food and drink available?

Breakfast prices: £11 large & £8 veggie regular / £11 veggie large. There'll also be vegan options available on the day.

The bar will be open from 12:00 - late serving alcoholic and soft drinks, last orders half an hour before closing.

The kitchen is open 15:00 – 20:00 for the standard menu.

All food and drink available is also subject to stock and capacity. Delays in food service may occur on the day dependant on attendance. 

 

🥤 Are non-alcohol drinkers welcome?

Of course, everyone’s welcome and there are plenty of non-alcoholic drink options available.

 

♿️ Is the event accessible for all?

This event is situated on the ground floor of The Sal, there’s level access through the beer garden entrance. Be aware that there’re sloped floors throughout the ground floor area which may be unsuitable for some.
