What is the secret sauce to belonging, high levels of participation, deep loyalty to the SU and increased levels of social solidarity amongst students? In this session we explore the history, research on and advantages of group social mentoring for new students across universities in Europe - looking at systems, costs, policy and practicalities - and explore what it would take to get the tradition properly established and funded in the UK.
