Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course, designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis.
Delivered by Street Games, this introductory course is designed to increase awareness of young people’s mental health and some of the issues that can affect this age group. You'll learn about how to identify a peer who is experiencing mental ill health, and how best to help and signpost your teammates.
Attending this session will help raise awareness and mental health literacy, reduce the stigma around mental health, and boost your knowledge and confidence in dealing with mental health issues by promoting early intervention which enables recovery.
