Out in STEM: LGBTQ+ Scientists and Innovators Exhibition

Explore the exhibition from Monday 2nd February to Friday 27th February in Dalton Building Atrium and The Union Reception

February is LGBTQ+ History Month and this year we're celebrating queer pioneers in science and innovation! Come and visit the displays featured within the Dalton Building Atrium and The Union Reception.

This exhibition celebrates the contributions of LGBTQ+ scientists and innovators whose work has shaped science, technology, health, and discovery. Through a series of profiles displayed across campus, Out in STEM highlights the people behind the breakthroughs — making visible the diversity, creativity, and impact of queer voices in science.

Part of LGBTQ+ History Month, the exhibition invites students and staff to explore how identity and innovation intersect, and why representation in STEM matters.

We’re also inviting LGBTQ+ students, staff and allies to get involved by sharing your experiences, interests, or ideas connecting science, innovation, and queer culture. Participation is flexible, you can choose how visible you’d like to be, and no prior experience is needed.
