From the presenter:

While UK students know graduation traditions, why is this often their only significant shared ritual? Unlike European and US counterparts with rich student-led traditions building community and belonging, the UK university experience feels increasingly atomised.

Using international examples from Finland's Wappu to Georgetown's Grubfest, we'll examine why traditions and tentpole events matter for belonging and identity, what makes them stick, and the steps SUs can take to establish new traditions that students will anticipate, remix and remember.
