On 23 June 2025 the Hotspur Press Building caught fire, significantly impacting residents in neighbouring buildings, including many students in 1 Cambridge Street "The Assembly
We understand that many tenants were affected during the evacuation and that, regrettably, there is currently no confirmed timeframe from the building management regarding when you may safely return to your accommodation.
The Union and our partners at Manchester Student Homes remain committed to supporting all affected students during this challenging period.
