The Union has been awarded the Best Bar None Gold Award, demonstrating its ability to exhibit and promote responsible alcohol and venue management.

Out of the 41 Students Unions’ who participate in the Best Bar None scheme, we are one of the select few who have achieved the Gold Award.

Run by NUS, the Best Bar None Award displays our efforts to promote responsible attitudes to drinking and create a safer environment around the building.

During the process of gaining the award, The Union has to show a wide range of corporate social responsibility, from risk assessments and public safety to alcohol and drug awareness.
