Your time at university is a unique chapter in your life. One where you’ll grow, discover new strengths, and learn so much about your course and yourself.

But sometimes it doesn't go to plan. And that's ok.

The University and The Union are here for you no matter what you're going through.

Wellness Workshops and Courses

It's normal to feel anxious about starting something new, that's why the University run wellness workshops and courses to help with anxiety, stress, sleep and other problems.

These courses are casual and judgement free. Their educational structure gives you the skills to help manage the issues you're facing. You won't be expected to talk about your experiences if you don't want to.

Our Advice Centre

At The Union, we have our Advice Centre. Our team of wonderful advisers can help with issues such as accommodation, academic issues, finances and more. And if they can't help with your issues specifically, they can point you in the right direction for the correct support.

There's many ways you can get in contact with out team. To book an appointment simply ring us or drop us an email or, for quick answer, we have a live chat feature on our website.

24/7 Student Support Helpline

Finally, if you ever just want to chat with someone, the University run a 24/7 Student Support helpline. The team of fully qualified councillors can help with a range of issues including stress, grief, relationships and addiction.

It can feel like a big step to ask for help, but chatting to someone, even if just over the phone, is a great way to start overcoming the issues you're facing.

It's normal to sometimes not feel yourself. It happens to us too. But it's important that we don't let these feelings build up and take over. We know it can be daunting to ask for help, taking advantage of the support we offer is the best way to get back to being you.
