Your society needs you. Get involved in the Student Group Elections

Friday 17-03-2023 - 10:35

Clubs and societies are a big part of university life, so it’s crucial that they’re run by the right people.

The only way to make that happen is to have your say in your club or society’s election this March.

Club & Society Elections are taking place from 17 March – 03 April.

Each club or society is led by a committee of students, voted for by the group members– including Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and more. The committee works together to run the group and deliver events, socials and activities.

From 17 March you can nominate yourself to be on the committee – that’s right, any student can run their club or society.

No experience needed either – we’ll provide the training you’ll need and the current committee will hand over society details.

The elections are held online and it’s only takes a few minutes to nominate yourself.

Interested? Have a chat with your current committee about what it’s like to run your group. You can also take a look at our committee insight videos to hear what they think about being on a committee.
