Description

We are the Peterloo Institute, the first student-led, non-partisan think-tank in Manchester composed of Manchester Metropolitan University and University of Manchester students. 

Through insightful research, innovative publications, and engaging public events, we work with the people of Greater Manchester to create evidence based policy research and encourage positive changes. We consider building a strong, enduring relationship between university students and the local Manchester community to be one of our core goals. 

In particular, we're looking to help tackle two of the most important current issues, both here in the North and across the UK: regional inequality and structural racism. We have dedicated research teams which research into an area related to either of those focuses, and we encourage students from a range of backgrounds to get involved and gain vital skills and experience which would benefit them in future employment.
