Our commitments from 2021

• Collecting qualitative data from BAME undergraduate students regarding their experiences in the department
• Work on a reverse Participant Recruitment Strategy and make use of the contacts the department has, to progress beyond the current channels of communication. (Undertaken by….in collaboration with department heads)
• Continue to monitor the awarding and progression gaps for the academic year by requesting data regularly
• Increase the consciousness of and reflection on unconscious bias and prejudice across the department and its student cohort by having explicit conversations about them
