The Students' Union are a registered charity and the Student Officers are elected to work full time representing students in the local community and at all levels of decision-making within the University. The Officers lead The Union's political direction, run campaigns on your behalf and hold the University to account on decisions that affect students. Four of the Officers are also Trustees of the organisation meaning that they work with external experts to ensure the health of The Union's finances, governance and strategy. Any student can stand for election to be a Student Officer and every single student has the opportunity to vote for who they believe will best represent them.

Every year we choose key issues to focus on based on feedback from students and things we’ve included in our manifestos. Our priorities for this year will be announced soon.
