The recent events in the Middle East have been deeply shocking and upsetting. We recognise that many of our students may have friends or family in the affected areas, or feel a close personal or cultural connection to the region.

• The Union's Advice Centre: Free, confidential advice available online, on the phone and in-person
• Student wellbeing services: Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, along with the 24/7 Student Support Helpline offer a safe and confidential space to talk
• 1-1 appointments: if you would like to speak to someone urgently, please email the University's Student Welfare team at studentsupport@mmu.ac.uk
• Chaplaincy: the multi-faith chaplaincy team are available to meet, talk with, and support students
• Outside university hours: you can call NHS 111 Option 2 for urgent mental health support
