Happy Crewe Year

Students in the Sports Hall in Crewe after the Netball tournament.

Welcome back everyone and I hope you had an amazing break! It’s a busy start for us here in Cheshire, so I thought I’d let you know about everything going on…

This week saw the first Luv Wednesday night of 2019 – pyjama party (let’s be honest it’s too cold and dark to get out of them). The next ILW is in February with a romantic Valentine’s Day theme. Don’t break my heart and miss it.

Netball held a successful Project Cheshire event this week, hosting a campus-wide tournament for all to take part in. It went down really well and they raised £276 for Cardiac Risk in the Young! Another Project Cheshire bid was approved yesterday…the ever-popular Lip Sync Battle returns to the Student Zone, run by Cheerleading and Men’s Football, and the event will take place on Thursday 31 January. Cannot. Wait.

Next week we’ve got a very big day for our sports clubs — on Wednesday 16 January they’ll be taking on teams from Manchester in a Cheshire Varsity.

You can see all the times and fixtures below, and I would LOVE to see you there supporting team Cheshire! I’m excited and I know others are really looking forward to this too, with societies, sports and individuals all involved. A big thank you goes out to MMU Sport for their support with this as well.
