You may have heard of the Greater Manchester Student Partnership - but what does that actually mean? It’s the coming together of five student union’s in Greater Manchester, with the vision of making Greater Manchester the best place for students to live in the UK.

The partnership board, made up of eight sabbatical officers, meets regularly with regional political figures, including the combined authority, to make sure that students are always at the forefront of decision makers’ minds.

On Thursday 2 May, the polls will open and you will be able to vote for your next mayor in Greater Manchester.

As well as this, The University of Manchester Students’ Union is working with GMSP to host a Mayoral Hustings on Tuesday 16 April at 17:30 - this is your chance to ask those all important questions and hear from the candidates.

This is open to all students in Greater Manchester, check out more details about the elections and be sure to sign up (for free) for the Mayoral Hustings now!

And, of course, if you’re not already registered to vote make sure you register before Tuesday 16 April at 23:59 so that you can have your say.
