Top tips for submitting a nomination

Submit a professional, friendly-looking, and high-quality photo of yourself

Getting your image right can make all the difference, as this is the first impression that voters will get of you.

Based on the two candidate images below, who would you be more likely to vote for?

Remember that not every voter may spend a lot of time reading your manifesto, so your candidate image is really a chance to sell yourself as a great candidate.

The importance of submitting a professional looking manifesto

Your manifesto is a chance to get across your ideas about what you would do if elected. It’s also a chance for voters to find out a bit about you.

Here are some examples of how your manifesto will look to voters.

First up - an example of someone who’s taken the time to write a detailed and professional manifesto: looks pretty good right?

Next, we’ve got an example of someone who’s made a good start – but hasn’t quite finished their manifesto: not bad, but would you vote for them if they had hardly said anything?

Lastly, here’s someone who’s not submitted a professional manifesto and a distorted pic: you'd be lucky to gain many votes if your manifesto and pic looked like this!

Follow these tips and you’re bound to impress voters. What’re you waiting for? Get nominating!
