Last year a piece of research was undertaken by The Union and University, asking you to share your views about the social experience and facilities on the Cheshire campus. The results of the survey revealed a need to change and improve services on campus.

We listened to your feedback and worked with the University to make a series of improvements over the summer.

A lack of social space was identified as an issue, so improvements to the layout and furniture were made in the bar area of the Student Zone. Two new gaming areas were installed so that you can now make use of PS4 and Xbox, as well as a permanent table tennis offer. Equipment to be used in this area can be collected from the Sport Centre reception desk during opening hours.

In addition to the improvements in the bar area, the bar itself will now be open during the first term on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 18:00 onwards. A programme of regular events will also take place, including Open Mic nights, quiz nights and football screenings. Hot food will also be available from the bar during these nights as well as the coffee shop.
