The Union is here to make sure your voice is heard loud and clear, not just in the lecture theatres and seminar rooms, but in the big decisions that affect your time at Manchester Met.

That’s why we’re launching something new: The Union Unfiltered.

This is your space. A place to share your unfiltered thoughts, experiences, and opinions about you and your life at Manchester Met, the good, the bad, and everything in between.

Why we’ve created it

Although we work in partnership with the University on lots of things, we’re an independent charity. Our role is to represent your views and make sure your voices drive change.

But to do that, we need to understand what life at Manchester Met is really like, what your priorities are, and how we can make improvements that matter to you.

That’s where The Union Unfiltered comes in.

We’ve built a platform that makes sharing your voice quick, easy, and most importantly, meaningful.

How it works

Every week, you’ll be invited to walk us through a day in your life as a Manchester Met student. Basically, like if you're doing your own little blog.

Whether you’re a first year, living in halls, in your final year, commuting, or a mature student juggling studies and family, we want to hear your story.

On top of that, every two weeks you can take part in interactive research activities. These are designed to give you a say in the decisions and priorities that affect you, both here at The Union and across the University.

Plus, the more you get involved, the more chances you’ll have to win a share of £2,700 in prize draws.

This isn’t just about collecting feedback and filing it away. We’ll update you on the meetings we attend, the issues we raise, and the actions taken as a result. You’ll be able to see the difference your voice is making, because The Union Unfiltered isn’t about us. It’s about you.
