Nominations open for 2017 Teaching Awards

Do you know a teacher who deserves special recognition? Show your appreciation by nominating them for a Teaching Award - nominate now.

The annual awards ceremony, now in its seventh year, celebrates excellent teaching at Manchester Met and is a great way to thank the people who you think deserve to be recognised and rewarded.

Every year, you nominate the individuals and teams who go out of their way to make their learning experience the best it can be.

There are a total of ten different awards, ranging from Teacher of the Year to Outstanding Innovation in Teaching.

This year, categories include Best Undergraduate Supervisor and Best Postgraduate Supervisor,

Entries are judged anonymously by a panel of students, Student Officers and other representatives.

 

The highly anticipated awards ceremony will be held at The Union on Tuesday 16 May and is sure to be a huge hit with students, teachers and staff alike.

Luca Raimo, The Union’s Education Officer, said: “Here at Manchester Metropolitan we are privileged to have so many great teachers who play a pivotal role in delivering excellence. University can transform students’ lives and teachers play a key role in developing students throughout their journey. So getting nominating and celebrate the amazing work lecturers do!”

Whether you have the most helpful and inspiring supervisor, a personal tutor who goes the extra mile or a department that feels like home, share your stories and experiences to help us uncover excellent teaching at Manchester Met.

Nominations close on Sunday 26 February at 23:59.
