Tuesday 5 March saw the candidates for Societies and Development Officer and Sports Officer questioned prior to the elections voting period beginning.

The candidates answered questions from the audience and current officers as well as getting the opportunity to deliver an opening statement. 

Societies and Development Officer Candidates faced scrutiny over their views on how to better support for student volunteers, collaboration between societies and the University, as well as how they intend to boost engagement with societies. 

The Sports Officer Candidates addressed the topics of initiations, drinking culture reputation and how to encourage women’s involvement in in sport.
