 Christmas — the season of love, giving and all things jolly is right around the corner and I am sure many of you can’t wait for the term to be over, and to go back home over the Christmas break.

 Here are some tips on how to keep up the joy for when you return to Manchester:

- Make sure everything is locked up securely, door, windows and back gates.

- Do not leave anything valuable on display.

- Make sure the last person out of the house sets all the alarms.

- Ask a neighbour to keep an eye on the place while you are away.

- If your boiler has a timer function, just put it on for a couple of hours over the night, so you don’t come home to your own winter wonderland!
