Wynne

Hey pals, my name is Wynne and I'm a third-year History student running for NUS Delegate with the team MMUnite. I'm also the chair of Feminist Society and I represent Campaigning and Liberation societies on Society Committee. I try my best to work within the University to create positive change and give a voice and space to students who most need it. It's one thing to be able to help change your university but to have a say in national policy is awesome. The key issues we believe need tackling are:

• More financial transparency from Universities, students should be able to know where their money is being spent

• Greater mental health support for students

• Tackling sexual assault and rape on university campuses

• Providing a safe space for students that identify as trans and non-binary

• Providing support for international students post-Brexit

• Ensuring all Universities have a strict disciplinary procedure for incidents of racism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, and sexism on campus and providing support for victims

• Tackling theft and assault around universities, campaigning for a greater police presence and more support from both Police and university

The recent rise in extreme right-wing politics needs to be tackled, and what is a better place to start that then within our universities?
