One Manchester is a provider of housing and community services. Our view is that housing associations are all about place-making.We regularly look at the issues which go beyond housing, and especially those that are specific to each of our communities.
One Manchester offers a number of retirement housing schemes across South and East Manchester. There are self-contained flats for single people or couples with a living room, bedroom, bathroom, gas central heating and fully fitted kitchens. Our aim is to create a place where residents can live independently but have the peace of mind of an on-site scheme manager and warden call system. The scheme also benefits from having a shared community room to give residents the opportunity to meet and interact with one another.
We are looking for a volunteer who is a keen gardener and able to work independently with limited support and guidance. Typical tasks may include (but vary due to season)
planting flowers and shrubs, trims back the bushes, weeding and generally tidying up the garden to make it look fresh, tidy and welcoming.
This is an outside opportunity, following the Covid-19 social distancing guidelines.
