Event Secretaries

The Event Secretaries are responsible for planning and delivering all Law Society socials and events, ensuring an interesting and engaging calendar that enhances the student experience. They secure venues, manage event logistics, and ensure smooth execution by working closely with the committee. The Event Secretaries also liaise with external organisations, businesses, and the Manchester Law School to create valuable opportunities for members, including networking sessions, career-focused events, and professional development activities. As key figures in the society, they play a crucial role in fostering an inclusive, engaging, and well-connected community through carefully planned and successful events.

Hannah Woodcock

Hi everyone! I’m Hannah, your Events Secretary. My goal is to create engaging, inclusive and affordable events that everyone can enjoy. I hope to introduce more low-cost socials, such as coffee meetups and brunches, alongside our formal events, helping members build friendships and feel part of the society. I also want to organise workshops, mock trials and networking events with legal professionals, while incorporating fundraising initiatives so our events have a positive impact both within the society and the wider community!
